been too lazy lately to do any updates... sorta force myself to write something..

finally bought the graphic card i was eyeing for after work today... 329 bucks for the MSI 8600 GTS and 89 bucks for a new 490W PSU... damn shiok now! first time playing games at medium-high graphical settings without lag (forgive the noob!)! way better den the stock card (pathetic 7300 LE)... everything feels so... different... somehow... anywayz.. its off the net and on to games now..

i cant believe im doing this... my eyelids feel like they r filled with lead.. but some stuff really wanna write about... anywayz here goes..

today's race day for Mountain Bike Speed Trials... registration starts at 8 am... woke up at 7 am this morning feeling cooling... was going to doze off again... until something comes to mind... "why is it so cooling...?" got off my bed quickly and to the window... DAMN! IT RAINED! ming gang called soon... said we r proceed with the plan to register for the race... i was like... "ok... rain not too heavy.. so should b ok.." changed into my jeans and Ts.. grab my bike and gone to meet ming gang...

cold wind hit my face like a wake-up slap... wore black Ts coz i tot its gonna feel cold all day long (turns out to b a very bad decision)... met ming gang and got my helmet from him... headed off for Tampines Mall's MacDonalds for some breakfast.. as usual Big Breakfast with hotcake syrup all over (i hear ppl chanting 'diabetic')... met some trial riders all the way from woodlands... very friendly people who we got to pit our skills against later...

met up with the marketeers at the race site... still wet weather... made the whole atmosphere depressing... was pondering whether the race is a go or no go... after staring at the race site thru the rain for a long time... the officials give the go...

the whole group of us (counting around 8 heads) went on to register and get our freebies (waterbottles and Ts... anyone?)... pretty soon the weather finally let up alittle but the site is still slippery... just have to live with it.. ya? anywayz.. the race went ahead... was a bit cold-feeted in the beginning and had a few slip-ups here n there... the sun came out soon and things turn from cold to hot within an hour... the site still soggy with mud... regretted wearing black for the Ts..

after some brain-cell-killing, eye-popping and front-flipping-filled 22 rounds of the race (sorry to ken... tot its 30+ rounds)... the whole thing ended at around 3 pm... damn shagged after the whole thing... end up with only a 9th place... out of like 13 other racers... sadded... but overall its still good exposure since its my first race... ian (as expected) took first place while ming gang (unexpectedly) took third... cash prizes leh! not bad at all...

ended up at L&T Cycles after the race since ken wanna get his new fork... went back and forth between L&T and the race site coz someone left something behind (u know who u r! hahaha)... rolled home to pasir ris with ming gang after tat with my mud-covered bike..

reached home at around 4+ pm... feeling faint already... but just looking at bike makes me unable to rest... ended up cleaning my bike until like 6+ pm... my back feels like breaking after the whole thing... thoroughly sunburnt.... time go take a short rest before the pre-NS so-called-farewell steamboat dinner at andy's place...

lucky no punctures for the day... :)
